Day 4

Subject: [firstname]: What Facebook ad is right for you?

Hi [firstname],

Unlike banner ads (which are purely graphic) and Google AdWords (which can be either image or text based) Facebook as a wide variety of ads, each one suited to a specific purpose.

Here are just a few of them

Link ads. Does exactly what it says: Gets people to click on a link that takes them to your website or Facebook page. The entire ad is clickable, so people will be directed to your page whether they click the text, image or the button.

Lead generation ads. Touched on this yesterday. This is a pre-filled lead form that makes it easy to connect people with your business. You can have an image, headline, button and text.

Video ads. These consist of a video of up to two minutes in duration, with up to 90 characters of text and a 25 character headline. Videos can have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (full landscape) or 1:1 (square).

Slideshow ads. Similar to video ads, but created from up to 10 still images. Up to 1280 x 720 pixels in size.

Carousel ads. A bit like slideshow ads, but can contain photos or videos plus text. Sizes: 600 x 600 pixels

Collection ads. A mobile-only ad format that showcases multiple products or features. It's perfect for conversions and traffic. It can contain video and images up to 1200 x 628 pixels. The video can be up to two minutes long with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (full landscape) or 1:1 (square).

Canvass ads. This is an ad format with text, up to 20 photos, and video. The ad is shown full screen, so it's perfect for tablets and smartphones.

There are other types of ad as well. Facebook has a full list here: https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-create-ad-basics

Once you've decided on your ad type, the next step is to make sure only the RIGHT people see it. I'll tell you about that tomorrow; be sure to check your inbox then.

Warmly,

[Your Name]
